Kryssia had been about to retire for the night, the small Shar champion dropped her pack and leaned against one of her hated trees. She sighed. She was getting used to the color green, for some reason that bothered her. She opened her pack to pull out one of the scrolls she had purchased from a merchant in Domnann. It was a handwritten collection of stories from the Sage Derceto, from long ago. Perhaps before he vanished the frst time.. or whatever had happened to him. She had to know more of this warrior of peace.
She had expected to read until fatigue allowed her to sleep, when she saw Khairra come flying through the portal then dive through it again heading for connla.
Was she being chased by Zath? Kryssia stood as she grabbed her pack... Sadoma's celt appeared. Her speed stunned the Shar champion. She will catch her, Kryssia thought.. they have finally decided to settle this.. the celt will surely kill the elf she mused.. then stopped. Sadoma appeared and charged in to the portal.. his expression matching his celt's.. they were worried.. but not Khairra.
This Underhill is up to something... Kryssia lunged for the portal barely grabbing her pack. When she appeared she could see Sadoma diving into the river..but the celt and the underhill were nowhere to be seen. She stepped forward Vonstadt goes to Connla..as does Sadoma. Why are they so scared of Khairra running to.... Then it hit her.
She responded as a warrior, her desire to report this overwhelmed her... She stopped. The words of the sage hit her.. funny she would think of him..
"Milady, you are a good soldier and you have earned my respect ..watch him."
She sniffed the air and turned in time to see Khairra vanish on foot heading southeast. She was so confused at this point - how could such a weak creature display such bravery.. and yet Kryssia knew Khairra was going to die... She would not fight us to save her life; she will not fight them.
This should have ended it for Kryssia... A report to her lord and then continue training... But something was wrong here.
Kryssia needed answers....
