What I created? Devessa thought to herself.
Devessa looked up at the elf as he took a step back. He had obviously had enough contact with her. Finally she turned her eyes to where the elves' stony eyes stared.
Below them was a writhing mass of vines and thorns. Dev's red eyes widened slightly at the sight.
Why did they show her this? Was this what they were blaming her for?
Devessa looked around, trying to get her bearings. Silently, she stretched her fingers to the ground behind her. A vague sense of pain filtered through the ground from the direction of the valley before her. The ghostly sensations filtered through her veins and made her queasy. With a gasp, Devessa's hands clenched behind her and she let her head fall to her chest, shutting her eyes tightly.
What had happened here?
Panting shallowly, Devessa tried to make sense of what was happening. The last thing she remembered was almost stumbling into an eriu camp.
What happened to the camp? she wondered, her confusion growing.
